Cultural, historical and scenic attractions await

Braemar is world renowned for its annual Highland Games attended by the Royal Family every year in early September;  don’t worry if you miss it, the Highland Games Exhibition Centre provides a flavour of the amazing spectacle of Games day. Sticking with the cultural theme, Braemar boasts a community run castle and St Margaret’s offers a year round programme of art and cultural events. Check the calendar for upcoming events – it will include the village festivals such as the Braemar Mountain Festival in March and an award winning Cultural Arts Festival in October.

You can also discover how the nations favourite tipple is produced at Royal Lochnagar whisky distillery in nearby Crathie, also home to Balmoral Castle and Crathie Kirk.
